Cory Smigel is the fourth commit in the last week for the Orange.

Class of 2018 kicker Cory Smigel committed to Syracuse as a preferred walk on, he tweeted on Friday.

A 2016 graduate of North Royalton (Ohio) High School, Smigel has been taking classes at Erie Community College while not playing football. That means the kicker will have all four years of eligibility remaining at SU.

Smigel averaged 44.4 yards on kickoffs with a long of 60 his senior year in high school, per maxpreps.com. Similarly, he averaged 37.1 yards per punt with a long of 61 yards.

The 13th addition to Dino Babers’ 2018 class at Syracuse, Smigel is the only kicker right now but is the fourth commit in the last week, joining Anthony Queeley, Willem Froumy and Taj Harris. Track the rest of the class of 2018 here.
